okay so i got the power supply fan and the motherboard fan to work. but my computer still wont turn on. im not sure i have it all totally connected though. there is still a plug that needs to be connected to my video card. is that necessary? cuz i cant find it. does it sound like i still need to get another motherboard?

Have you changed anything or are you saying the fans just started working?

If you graphics card has an independent power connection then it should be connected.

If there is not an available connection you can get a splitter.

If you still get no beeps with no RAM and assuming the internal speaker works then you still are getting nothing off the motherboard.
