Hi,

I own a Toshiba Portege M500 (the model number is PPM50A-073025 if that helps) which I recently upgraded to Windows Vista Ultimate and I have no sound coming from my computer. When I was running Windows XP Professional, everything was fine and the sound worked, but now that I have installed Vista, no sound works. I have checked to see if the sound device (which is Sound Max Digital Audio) is working, and it says that this device is working. My sound is not muted, as is on full volume. I have tried everything I can possibly think of, I have tried updating the driver, downloading software, reinstalling the device, Windows Vista troubleshooting (which, by the way, sucks!) and nothing works! Please someone help me, because I really want my sound back!
