    Exclamation Ddr2 Ram?

    Hello all,

I have just installed pentium D, DUO CORE 3ghz Cpu on an A-BIT IP-95 mobo.

I have 2x 1GB DDR 400 installed on the board and the board also has 2 slots for ddr2 ram, 533 mhz (I think).

My question is>>>>> Can i put another 2gig of DDR 2 RAM with the 2 gig of DDR DIMM 400 that i have installed already.

Tried System Scan on www.crucial.com and basicly it said that i didn't know.

    Any Suggestions???

    Many Thanks

    Memory
    - Supports DDR2 533 or DDR 400 Un-buffered Non-ECC memory
    - 2 x 184-pin DIMM sockets, support DDR 400 memory up to 2GB (2.5V)
    - 2 x 240-pin DIMM sockets, support DDR2 533 memory up to 4GB (1.8V)

NOTE: This motherboard supports two DDR or two DIMMs. Note that DDR & DDR2 cannot be both applied at the same time. Apply either DDR or DDR2 memory modules only.

DDR2 is more advanced and faster.

Whether it would be noticeable is hard to say.

Depends a lot on what you do with the computer. High end gaming might make a difference.

Are you having RAM or memory problems?
