hey does anyone know anything about servers?? lol
sorry about the random one, but i didnt see a forum that was deidacted to server see =)
but anyway heres the problem, i help the ICT techs where i currently school, and they have an old server they need fixing, so far they can get it to Power and thats it, i was talking to one of the Techs, and they said that it doesnt boot , so i said install a new OS after recovering data, but then to my surprise he says..... the server wont even POST!!!
anyone know about anything about non-posting systems at all?

just though id help them out with their server issues =)

That's like asking if anyone knows how to fix a motor vehicle. Is it a car, boat, plane, motorcycle, bus, truck? Does it have a diesel, gas, or jet engine?

A server can be a plain old PC. Or it can be a UNIX box by Sun, or HP, or a Blade, or who knows what?

so in other words i need to get you some details for it? =)
