Hi there...Uhh soo i took the computer to the shop to get a tech to look at it..They said that is was the Motherboard and they would have to replace the motherboard & Processor. Quote $290 aus...Do you think this is reasonable or should i look at doing it myself..They gave me a break down and said the motherboard was $122 the processor was $89 and $79 for labor...they said they wouldnt need to replace the ram??Im annoyed now any help would be appreciated

If they say it is the motherboard then also say they need to replace the CPU I am assuming that they cannot find a motherboard that is compatible with your current CPU? Is this their story? Or are they saying something is wrong with the CPU as well?

Otherwise the prices are not bad. I would definitely require a guarantee of some nature.

If you are interested in building computers yourself we can certainly help you do it yourself. But if you do not have this desire then just let them do it.

The price is good as long as the work is guaranteed.

Did they say anything about the PSU? Did you ask them to test that?
