Got problem with screen... boot the laptop... after just a few seconds the screen goes black! When I touch the small button in front of the screen (for when you close the screen) then the screen lights back up for a few seconds.
There must be a connection problem... has anyone had this problem too? How to resolve it?
Thx,
GO.
Sounds very much like you have an LCD backlight problem. If you look at the screen very carefully (maybe shine a light on it), you'll probably see that there is actually stuff on the screen but that it's extremely dim. This would be because the backlight isn't lighting it up for you to see properly. The backlight is replaceable but it's usually a job for a laptop repair specialist.
youre back up light is busted you should probably take it to seome one who knows what there doin and then get it replaced
I tried out your tip with the light... and yes, that's exactly what it is :-(
I can see the desktop when I use a flashlight on it! What I still don't understand is how come, when I push the small pin (button) to put out the screen, when you shut the top, the screen still lights up for a couple of seconds. Once even for 10 ~ 20 seconds? Does that mean the back-light still works and it's an other defect... maybe a bad contact at that little switch?

One of the signs of a failed backlight is that the screen lights up for the first few seconds that it is turned on and then it goes dim. I don't know why - it doesn't make much sense to me but it's a fact!
The 'pin' that you are pressing is there to tell the screen to turn off when the lid is closed, just like the courtesy light inside your car goes off when you shut the door. When you release the pin, it thinks that the lid has been opened again so the light comes on for a couple of seconds, just like when you first power up the laptop.
