"Raedon 9800 Extension cable is not properly connected"
Okat well for some weird reason my computer sometimes does not want to turn on and it gives me some message telling me that my Raedon 9800 extension cable is not connected ( in red ) while my computer boots up. Its weird because it is actually connected right, ive disconnected it and reconnected it yet it still, at time, doesnt let my computer boot up and gives me that weird ass messsage. I finally got it to turn on after numorous amounts of turning off the computer via Switch botton and removing the motherboard battery for a while but now my screen is slightly discolored. Its slightly blueish. This has never happened before, could it be that i need a new video card or maybe i need to install some new drivers that i dont know about?

does the card have it's own power connector?
How big is your power supply?
-
The card has a 4 pin connector that connects to some other series of wires that connects to the motherboard/power supply. The power supply is 5 1/2 inch long...3 1/4 inch high and 5 1/2 inches wide...

lol I think What Brain-damage meant was - whats the power wattage of your supply. how many volts? it should say on the power supply itself.
eg: 250w, 300w, 350w, 400w, 450, etc etc
-
Not how many volts (that's a given with ATX supplies) - but watts. But that's not really good enough either because with today's hungry video cards, amps on the rail is actually more important. What is the make and model number of the supply?
-
Sorry about the whole watts & voltage thing, im not too computer sabby. Its a turbolink switching power supply Model: LC - A420ATX 12V
Voltage - 115/230v
Current - 10A/5A
Frequency - 60/50Hz
^ those things were on it so i thought you guys might want to know all that stuff also.
-
what else have you got running, drawing power from the power supply? (ie RAM, sound cards, hard drives, CD/DVD drives, floppy drives)
what motherboard do you have?

A search of Turbolink 420 on Google shows lots of folks having problems with it. AnandTech's review of the Turbolink 420 was not very flattering. And since you indicated the power lead to the power hungry video card is split and feeds other devices (not good even with good supplies), I am leaning towards your PSU as either failing, or over stressed.
Consider getting a new PSU. Note that I would much rather have a 550W Antec than a 650W off-brand generic. Generally 550 - 650 watts is more than a enough for most people. Don't fall for the hype that bigger is better.
I really like Antec's eXtreme PSU Calculator. When determining your wattage needs, think 2 - 3 years down the road. Might you add more drives, fans, RAM, bigger or a 2nd video card? And then add 10% for good measure. Don't get the exact size you need. You don't want the PSU to be maxed out all the time. If nothing else, that will cause it to run on the very warm to hot side, and keep the fan(s) running full speed and LOUD! But a PC will consume what it needs and no more. So if the PC needs 400 watts, it will draw 400 watts whether you have a 500 watt supply or a 1000 watt supply. All the 1000 watt supply gets you is bragging rights (to those that don't know better), and a lighter wallet.
