If your system already has a working SATA drive, then the drivers are obviously already installed - which is good. You should just be able to connect the drive, format, and start using it - assuming you have another SATA port and a spare power connector. One nice thing about SATA is there is not Master/Slave/CS to worry about.

Thanks. I read something from the google search. It mention I just have to connect it and it will work fine. but there are some questions. forexample I didn't have any sata hardidsk installed. Do I have to install the drivers when I am formatting my pc and will it be taken for the first bootdevice. And if there was 4 sata port on my mother will 2 of be primary & 2 be secondary. I cudn't quite get it when I read it. The hard I want to use to boot should be connected to 2 primary and the hard to be slave should be connected to secondry. But what if both primary are connected. Do I have to chose boot priority and set it

You should be able to do what you want in the BIOS. But do note that adding 3rd Party drivers for SATA to an existing installation of Windows is not always pretty. As you note, this is most often done during the OS installation (pressing F6 when prompted, then usually you insert a floppy). Before doing any such thing to an existing setup, backup all critical data.
