I suggest you go out to Matsonic and download and install the latest drivers. If the driver package includes instructions, be sure to follow them. Check the manual too (also on that site for download). If no instructions, I recommend uninstalling the drivers, shut down, power off, AND UNPLUG for about 15 seconds to ensure all standby voltages are gone, and stored power has drained. Then power up and install new.
Then, time to start saving up for a new board, CPU, RAM, Video (if not on new motherboard, Windows, and PSU - your system has done well to last this long.

Make sure you obtain the proper drivers for your chipset and O/S. (Operating System) Drivers are O/S specific.
If you don't know the exact chipset "variation", download, install, and run Everest Home Edition on this machine. (Clean FreeWare) Once it's finished loading and running, look under Computer, Summary, Motherboard. The chipset should be listed.
There may be additional chipset information under Motherboard, Motherboard.
Also look under Computer, Summary, Display, or under Display, PCI/AGP Video. This will tell you what display adapter/chip you have. (Video Adapter and 3D Accelerator.)
Everest provides direct links to most of the hardware manufacturers (you must be online when you run any links of course).
DirectX 9:
