For the monitor to display "No input signal", that suggests that it is working correctly. At least, it means that the tube hasn't gone and it is capable of displaying an image and it's looking for a signal (but not finding one). If you haven't already done so, remove the "VGA" monitor signal cable from your graphics card and check that the pins in the plug are not bent or missing. Then reconnect it firmly - if you want to do the screws up, don't do them up tight.

If that still doesn't work, it's time to open the PC up. Make sure the PC is switched off! Open the PC case and take a look at the graphics card. Is it seated firmly in the slot PCI / AGP / PCI-Express slot? Over time, it's not uncommon for them to work themselves loose. If you're going to touch anything, make sure you take anti-static (ESD) precautions (see Dan Penny's guide in the Computer Help Articles section of the forum).
