-
what program are you using to write the files into the disc?
are there any error messages or such?
-
ive tryed lots windows media player 10 11 realplayer nero and a few others but none have worked there are no error messages it will say completed but there will b nothing on the disk and will say the disk is full
-
i just noticed this in the driver details all of the sets have a check except one C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\DRIVERS\PxHelp20.sys could that be a problem if so how do i get the check back there
-
apparently it's some driver that has caused quite some problems to other users as well. doing a lil search right now but might take some time as i'm not really familiar with it and wouldn't wanna give the wrong info n all.
edit: it's a driver for Sonic
new edit: okay so give this a try, uninstall all your CD writing software and just use one, for example Nero. check if there are firmware updates or patches and such.
and another question is, other than this is there any other yellow marks? does windowsXP recognise your optical drive as a cd/rw?

ive uninstalled all but media player 11 and have tryed that and if ur talking about in device manager no there is nothing yellow and yes it recognises it as a cd/rw is there a place to download the possible driver that is missing??
-
well that PxHelp file can be downloaded online for a price.
i'm currently trying to find the program that includes it, since apparently one person found out that the file can be reintalled when reinstalling a program.
edit: Pxhelp20 comes from Winamp5 or 1Click DivxToDVD and it's the sonic burning engine/layer.
you might want to try reinstalling/installing any of those programs and see if it works.

i tryed yet now its giving this message screen shot
-
That screen shot shows you are using Winamp to burn.
Try using XP itself. You may need to uninstall Winamp.
Right click the disk under My Computer then Properties then Recording then check Enable CD recording on this drive. This is the XP burner control.
XP then should give you all the CD burning options you want. Again by right clicking gives the best menu.

i'm curious as to how this is going on right now. if it's fixed please give an update?
