    That setting should be left at DISABLED. It's a "utility" for checking older VGA cards.

    "PCI/ VGA Palette Snoop
    It determines whether the MPEG ISA/VESA VGA Cards can work with PCI/VGA or not.

    Enabled When PCI/VGA working with MPEG ISA/VESA VGA Card.
    Disabled When PCI/VGA not working with MPEG ISA/VESA VGA Card. "

    If you have that setting in your bios, you should have:

    Video BIOS Shadow
    Determines whether video BIOS will be copied to RAM. However, it is optional depending on chipset design. Video Shadow will increase the video speed.

    If you're sourcing a new vid card, the memory/bios on a new card will be "up to date" if you will. But I do recommend the video bios shadowing anyway unless you are low on system RAM.

    With that "slim-line" case you just need to monitor the card size closely as some are much larger than others.
    Acer Veriton 3600GT (V3600GTUP3201) PC Desktop

    Expansion Slots AGP x4 x 1 • PCI x 3

    I will look around when I get more time. Upon more reflection and remembering my old "slim-line" "pizza box" the cards actually fit into a riser card off the motherboard so the riser card (built into the motherboard) is perpendicular to the motherboard and the AGP and PCI cards mount perpendicular to this so are actually parallel with the motherboard.

    The issue in this case would be the length of the card rather than the width but I would reasonably guess that most would fit.

    Dan - okay, I'll reset that. And thanks jephree, any advice will be gratefully considered.

    Here are two I find that I would be fairly sure would fit your case.

    The low profile label not only indicates that the card is narrower than standard cards but has the option of a smaller rear bracket. As it has the DVI port on-board and the VGA as an extension when used with the lowprofile bracket the VGA port is not available but you can use a DVI/VGA converter plug. Yet as I mention at the end of this post I have since seen that the standard bracket will fit your case.

    ASUS NVIDIA GeForce 6200 128MB AGP 4X/8X =brand new=

    HIS RADEON 9550 128 MB AGP 4X/8X video card brand NEW

    I now find all models except the first I linked indicate AGP 8X as seen here:

    http://www.netdummy.net/Veriton_3600GT.html

    Also tracing their recommended upgrades:

    Onboard Intel Graphics --> ATI Radeon 9200SE 128MB 8X AGP VGA 5S.99999.793 $171.00
    Onboard Intel Graphics --> nvidia Geforce MX4000 128MB 8X AGP VGA 5S.99999.700 $100.00

    I can verify that the 2 above cards I posted will fit your case as they are the same profile as these listed.
