When you get the error message on the screen referring to the monitor signal cable, does the message disappear after a short while and does the PC then continue to boot up?
If your hard drive is a SATA drive and your CD and DVD drives are both IDE, then problems with your CD / DVD drives should not be related to the fact that you have fitted a new SATA hard drive ...... unless you have changed the way that the IDE cable is connected to the CD / DVD drives (or if it is no longer connected properly).
What tells you that the CD / DVD drives do not work? A POST error? Do they not appear in Windows Explorer or My Computer? Or is it that there is no power to them so the 'eject' button doesn't work?

the self test message disappear after a short while and comes up aigen but the PC don't want to boot up... the CD and DVD player doesn't work becues it's don't happening somthing when i tryed the "eject" button and when i have the ide cable and the main power cable in together the CD / DVD player, it's like short circuit but the hard drive and everything elese are still working then but nothing are comming up on the screen......
p.s i have the new SATA hard drive in master mode...
