    Re: Looking for some help

Okay, I just about had it with trying to install XP Pro so, I just tried to a clean install with XP Home and this time I get one more step where I have to hit F8 to I agree and after that I get that same error I just posted few post ago. I have no damn idea why this is so hard. The computer was fine running good but, I was just trying to be nice and give a clean computer.

Strange, strange and strange......Here is what I just done, I have 2 slots for memory and I just tried running the new stick of memory in either bay and computer wouldn't start just beeps....Then I put my 2 older sticks of memory and the computer started.

Now, I am having no problems installing XP Home. Well, is not done but looking good so far.

XP Home is now up and running. I guess the new stick of memory is bad?? I have PC3200 400 DDR 512 (2sticks) and I bought one new stick this past Tuesday because I thought one of my older sticks was bad. Guess I was wrong.

Now make sure you load up SP2 - there's no better time than right away.
