My duaghter got some games for Xmas on DVD-ROM. My home desktop PC doesnt have a DVD reader. I also have a Dell laptop and it has an external DVD reader/writer(Model No PD01S). So I thought I could use that to load the game onto the home PC. But it has a strange connector - a bit like a double USB.
Is there an adaptor which will convert this to USB?

it may be easier and cheaper to put a DVD player in the PC they only cost about £10

I know exactly the type of connector that you mean but I don't think that you can get an adaptor for them. This is a Dell-specific connection, which appears to be a USB data plug paired up with an auxiliary power plug.
