P{roblems With New PCI G/Card On D845GLVA motherboard
Can some one help??
My motherboard is INTEL D845GLVA and I have tried to install a PCI graphics card today but failed, don’t know what I have done wrong...
I first put card in PCI slot then turned pc on it booted up and found graphics card I installed the drivers and rebooted...On start up I went into bios to change the video setting from on board to pci slot did this, Then I turned pc off moved my monitor cable to the pci graphics card and restarted pc again in doing this the monitor just stayed off with a yellow light pc did nothing?
Is there something I am missing?
I have even tried uninstalling the old on board graphics card drivers with no luck.
The card I have is a SAPPHIRE RADEON 9250 PCI 128MB GRAPHICS CARD?
Please help

When you say PC did nothing do you mean it did not power on? Nothing?
Or did it start but just no signal to the monitor?
Try reseating the card.
Also if you go back to the motherboard port will it work?
If not and reseating doesn't help clearing you CMOS will reset the BIOS to read the motherboard port and you can then try other options from there.

Try the slot closest to the CPU (top) if you weren't or try a different slot(s).
http://www.intel.com/design/motherbd/va/index.htm
Most boards will auto-detect graphics hardware so enabling PCI does not necessarily disable the on-board port.
