Sound Trouble!!???
Hi can anyone help?
My subwoofer recently broke and Im waiting for it to be fixed but it maybe a while. The speakers still work because I plugged them into my stereo and they were working. Im lost without my sound! Has anyone got any suggestions as to how I can link my computer with my stereo so I can hear sound from my computer? If anyone can help I would hugely appreciate it!
Thank you, Azza

Why doesn't the sound work from the pc? not got the right connectors?
Which type of cables and input/output ports do you have on your pc's sound card and your stereo?

Hi, thnx for the reply!
My sound and subwoofer have worked for years, but last week they were played very loudily for a long period of time, resulting the subwoofer to stop playing. Do u know any possible way of using my stereo or another audio source?
Thank you, Azza

I have my computer connected to a stereo amplifier with a twin phono to 3.5mm stereo jack lead. Check the input sockets on your stereo, your computer will be 3.5mm jack plug, and get a lead to suit. Mcbee.

Thnx for replying!
Is the input sockets on my stereo the AUX input because thats the only input sockets i have, does this mean my stereo is not compatible with use with the computer!?

Is the AUX a 5pin Din socket (5 pin round shape larger than a PS2 mouse socket)? If it is you may still be able to use that. Your AUX may have input and output (for tape monitoring). A cable with 5pin Din at one end and two 3.5mm jacks at the other is available. One of the jacks will go to computer line out to connect computer to the stereo. If it is compatable, the other jack will go to the line in on the computer. With the correct software you could store music from the stereo on your computer. Mcbee.
