hi,i have an old compaq keyboard with a split spacebar,left key for delete and right key for space,and i somehow managed to switch them round so now left key is space and right key is delete.i have real trouble typing now cos im always pressing delete instead of space and i get so frustrated pressing delete all the time.ive searched the internet for some time but i cant find a way to change it back again.im sure theres a key combination i have to press to switch it back again but i cant find out how.if someone knows how i can switch it back again please let me know,many thanks.

I had that happen on Windows XP. Power your computer all the way down. Unplug the keyboard and replug it. Turn the system back on. Keyboards (Old ones, anyway) are not plug and play. Only checks itself on a cold boot. Worked for me.

I thought I was the only derelict who still used my compaq split spacebar! I loved it until it did what you described. Loved it again after it reversed itself. I love it so much that when I had to get a new system I bought a Dynex usb ps/2 adapter from Best Buy.
