hey i need help with my disc drive. it wont go in and stay in. i press the button to make it go in and it comes out in 2 seconeds. with a disc inside it reads it then it comes out. HELP!

Is this a new problem? Did you try perhaps to manually eject a CD (pin) at one point?

Is the drive seen under My Computer? The Device Manager?

Is it an old drive?

Its been for a week. no i was just playing a game and out of no where the problem started

i dunno im not that smart in comps. my local disc (c and CD-RW Drive is in my computer

I know nothing exactly. The most probable problem is a broken drive. Fortunately they are inexpensive.

You could try and and force the drivers to be re-loaded if you are running XP.

Are you running XP?

windows xp ya but how do i re load it

Right click My Computer then click Manage then Device Manager

Click the + next to DVD/CD-ROM drives

Right click on your drive and then click Uninstall

Then reboot your computer and XP will find new hardware and reload the drivers.

ok i uninsalled and rebooted now what i dont see any thing ...how do i get to new softwhere umm how do i re install it!!!!
