I unplugged the monitor from my computer, while the computer was off. I did this to use the monitor with a laptop, which worked fine. While the computer was still off, i re-attached the monitor to the computer.
Now when I turn it on, the monitor works fine for the start up of the computer (the white writing etc). But when Windows XP is just about to ask me for the username password to log onto windows, the screen goes blank, and says that it cannot find a signal.
I know the computer is working and logging on properly as I can hear it working through the speakers. I also know that the monitor is working fine as it works for the initial startup of the computer, and also works fine with the laptop. It only seems that it is not communicating with windows.

Any help appreciated.
