I have put together a new computer system and it won't even post. The screen remains blank, and after several seconds, it beeps one long, three short. Then it just sits there.

This is what I've tried:
- Disconnecting everything but CPU-Heatsink, RAM and Video card
- One and two sticks of Ram in various different slot combo's (all Mushkin EM- 6400)
- tried another video card
- Cleared CMOS repeatedly between steps

Considering trying other RAM, any other suggestions?

My system is
-ASUS P5N-E SLI MOBO
-Core 2 Duo E 6300
-Mushkin EM2-6400 2x512 MB
-ASUS EAX1950Pro Video card

You Can Try Looking Up The Beep Codes,again,on A Different Beep Code Site Than The Last Source You Used......the Information Varies From Time To Time;
Also,you Can Try The Old Trick Of Removing,and Or Replacing The Little Battery...........if You Remove It,you Need To Leave It Out For
More Than 90 Seconds..........replace It, Then Try To Bring Youe System Back On...

Tried all of those things already.

Anything else you know of?

YOUR RAM COULD VERY WELL BE THE PROBLEM;
MAKE SURE YOU HAVE THE CORRECT RAM FOR YOUR PROCESSOR,BIOS,MOTHERBOARD COMBO.........ETC....
