I bought a LightScribe External DVD+RW/+R

And on the cd there was not a driver only software to help with burning such as nero.

I went to the site http://samsung-odd.com/ but no driver could be found.


Im not sure what else info is needed cause im new to the external dvd burning thing but help is greatly appreciated

Are you running XP?

If so no drivers should be required.

Is it seen in Disk Management or the Device Manager?

Right click My Computer then click Manage then Disk Management and or Device Manager.

No it does not show in Device Manager

When I plug in the usb cord from the burner to the pc it dings and in the task bar shows a usb icon but it never installs

Try shutting down and installing all connections with the system Off then re-boot.

Any change?
