Full HD capacity not recognized
I built my system a few weeks ago, and noticed during the format/install that it didn't quite recognize the right size of 250 GB. I let it go and figured I didn't read it right. When I open explorer I see that my hard drive is 127 GB. I checked in the bios, and it says the disk is 250GB. I didn't know whether this may be a hardware or software problem, but I figured I'd start here.
By the way, this disk is SATA.
Thanks in advance.
here's a condensed version of my hardware spec, let me know if you need more info than that.

Its one of either two things.
1. You've formatted sing FT32 instead of NTFS. FAT32 won't go above the limit you mention
or
2. You need ot enable 48 bit addressing in Windows XP. You can read how to do it here: http://support.microsoft.com/default...b;en-us;303013 , but in essence you'll need to apply SP1 and why not SP2 now that it is out.

So I tried all that, updated to service pack 2 and updated everything, maybe I just need to reformat or something, but it's still not recognizing more that 127 GB.
