    Pc Crash Help

Whilst trying to print something of the other day, the PC crashed.
A blue screen came up with 3 options, Setup, something else and Recovery =F10.
I tried the F10 option and nothing.
I have tried switching off and starting up again, the screen is blank, the fan/processor is wising away in the back ground.

Any suggestions of stuff I can try myself, before I take it to somebody.

trying starting up with the Windows XP cd. boot from CD, and try to repair it.

if i remember correctly... you boot using the cd, when it reaches the page with options to choose, choose...

Install a new windows > Agree > Repair already installed Windows

That's what the "F10 for Recovery" option is for then - to read the original files from the D:\ drive and overwrite your C:\ drive with them. What exactly happens when you use F10? Does it not even start to run the recovery process?

Also, what was the third option? Recovery, Setup and what?

I think it was the boot option.
When i switch the pc on i am getting nothing up on the screen. I have tryed repeatedly pressing F10 and nothing.
I am now stuck on an oil rig for the next couple of weeks so can't try anything.
