hey everyone

when i press the power button i can hear the fan running but nothing happens on the screen. About 1 out of 10 times i can see the computer starting up on the screen, the computer then freezes at a random point in the boot.

I have recently got a new power supply and the graphics card is not that old either.

i am running
windows xp
pentium 4 2.8ghz
512 ram
geforce fx 5200
i dont know what type of motherboard i have. all my hardware has been running fine up until now.

Is this a new problem?

Did the new PSU ever work OK?

Any beeps?

If no beeps try removing the RAM and booting without it. Any beeps now?
