What is the highest processor my motherboard can take?

    HI

What is the highest processor my motherboard can take?

I have a A7V rev. 1.02 motherboard. My current processor is AMD Athlon 706 MHz and my video card (XFX GeForce 6200) needs at least 1GHz of processor speed to make the MPEG-2 work.

PLZ HELP OUT IF U CAN. THX

To know EVERYTHING about your A7V visit

    www.a7vtroubleshooting.com

The A7V classic WILL support a Athlon Thunderbird B 1400MHz (14 x 100) , but in a special way. Be sure to read everything on the a7vtroubleshooting website.. these guys are experts.

go to the link above and choose ur mobo. my mobo is the A7V333. if u have an old bord then check the above link (the asus one).

I found out that my mobo has agp 4x, its also socket A 550MHz-1GHz (1000MHz). but i read online that it can support 1.4GHz processors but 1GHz for sure.
