Hi my i have a medion tft 19" monitor i have set the refresh rate to 60Mh and installed the drivers every 5 minutes or so it goes blank untill i switch it off and on again ,then it happens all over again ,I have a radeon x300 graphics card



can anybody help

Does it do the same in safe mode?

If so: is it still under warranty? Usually 3 years. I would return it to whence it came.

thanks for responding , yes it does it in safe mode ,its puzzling it now can last up to an hour then cut out , i have arranged for a replacement this is the second one, the first one cut out after a few seconds. i thought it unusual for two monitors to be faulty and thought there was something i could do but i see no conflicts and seem to have it set up ok

Go into 'Control Panel > Display' and ensure that all standby / power-saving for the monitor is switched off. Then see if it's any better

thanks for your response i have checked and all is off i am still waiting for the replacement to arrive and it has progressively got longer and longer for the monitor to go blank yesterday it was on all day and stayed on!

its got me puzzled

It could also be an issue with the graphics card.

Does the monitor LED go from green to amber?

Is there any monitor display such as "No Signal Input" before it goes off?

no it stays green but the screen goes black and there is no monitor display. whenthe screen is black and i press the menu button theres is nothing , i switch it off and back on again and its perfect for some time ,as i said its lasting longer now today its been on for 3 hours and still going strong
