Overheating battery
I spilt coffee on my laptop, it now thankfully still works albeit a couple of dodgy keys, however the battery now seems to be getting really hot so not sure if this might be a problem with the fan or the battery.
Anyone had a similar problem, all comments will be appreciated.

It could be either .... or both ..... or something else. Assuming that you have only let everything dry before starting to use it a couple of days later, you REALLY should have the inside of the laptop professionally cleaned. The motherboard, graphics chip, processor, fan, memory modules and all kinds of other parts could now be coated in coffee, making them very sticky and introducing a build-up of heat that the laptop cannot properly manage. In the most extreme cases, this increases the risk of it overheating to the point that it catches fire. Dell recently had to recall something like 1 million laptop batteries because they were overheating and catching alight
