Need help RE:Advent 3309 PC: Motherboard or hardrive ?
I have been given a P.C that has not been working.
It switches on then nothing?
Im not sure if its the motherboard or the hardrive.
The OS is not booting.
All i am getting is the "No input signal" ( monitor is fine as i checked on other pc)
The PC is a Advent 3309 PC.
Any help would be appreciated !!!!

Does the PC beep at all when you switch it on? The "beep code" is the computer's diagnostic results as soon as it does the Pre-Operating System Self-Test (POST). You can translate the beep code a bit like morse code. It is a series of short beeps, long beeps and pauses.
If there are no beeps, then our only advice can be to unplug any non-essential parts from the PC such as the sound card, modem, hard disk, etc and see if it starts with just the motherboard, processor, graphics card and one RAM module connected.
When opening the PC case, make sure that you take precautions to safeguard the sensitive components against Electro-Static Discharge (ESD) (or "static"). Dan Penny has written about this in the Computer Help Articles section of the forum.
