In my research there I found that only a few manufacturers produce SATA DVD/CD drives and they are quite expensive in comparison to IDE.

Thanks. Yes the device is needed for professional reasons and costs more than all of my PC (without mobo) put together

SATA would make its cost rise heaps and I'm paying out of my own pocket here though its work related. Heck I'd rather pay that to the charities I help out at anytime! But yes, the adapters will probably be required here.
