    80GB sayin its 30GB??

Ok.. so i bought a new 250gb harddrive.. and wanted 2 put my old 80gb into my other computer with out reinstallin windows so i did this

device manager and select the IDE ATA/ATAPI Controller and select your current storage controller. Right click, select update driver and select install from a list or specific location. Click don't search I will choose the driver to install and select the standard dual channel IDE controller.

then the next day i plugeed it into my other computer and it said it wasnt formatted so i went to wipe it and instal windows.. but it is sayin it is 30gb? i partioned it and installed windows and i am current on the machine wit the 80gb harddrive (sayin its 30gb) i installed everest and here is the detail below... how can i fix this so its 80gb again? thanks

    You say you partitioned it?

    Into multiple partitions?

How is it seen in Disk Management?

Right click My Computer then click Properties then Manage then Disk Management.

Do you see any 'Unallocated space' on that disk when you view it in Disk Management?

Is this on a PC that's quite a few years old? Could it be having trouble with the 36GB partition limit problem?
