Hi Guys,
this seem like a trivial question and I was hoping I could solve it myself, so its not as trivial as I thought. I did a cheap upgrade from a Qtech pc to a 754 Socket MB, with an AMD 3400 64 bit Sempron processor. Everything works, except the sound. I am trying to use onboard soundwhich is AC 97 usingAD1888 SoundMax Audio. I downloaded the latest Soundmax drivers, but no good. Any help would be appreciatted, thank you.

Motherboard : Asus K8V - MX
Processor : AMD 3400 Sempron 64 Bit
Graphics : Nvidia FX 68000
RAM : 1 Gig 3200 x 400
Hard Drive : Maxtor 200 Gig

Well, I got no reply from here at all. Quite surprised really. Normally I get some feed back. Anyway for those with a similer problem. I installed a sound card [ there was no sound card installed, as I was going to use onboard sound ]. the sound card I installed worked. By the way, I did have feed back from Geeks to go and cyber Tech Help. Unfortunitly none had the answer.

have you go the disc that came with the motherboard that should have the drivers for the on-board sound
