i have an ibm t21 thinkpad, it has a few faults

1. the usb at the back has just stopped working, says its fine

2. i have plugged in a wireless card in the pcmcia slot and it worked fine but the 4 port usb pcmcia adaptor says "New hardware detected mtd-0002" and apparently this means i dont have the drivers for the pcmcia slots, even though the wireless card worked splendidly

3. my soundcard doesnt work and i can only get a 'bleep' out of the internal speaker things when i do something 'verboten'

4. i have thought about getting one of those usb soundcards that are plug and play to fix the sound issue but obviously i will need to get the pcmcia card slots working to be able to put any usb through this thing

5. my head hurts

what i want is SOUND

i guess what im asking is, what would you do?

what would Jesus do?

Whats my best options guys and girls?

any advice appreciatedon this, i am poor so please, like the budgie ... think 'cheep'
