Hi, a few days ago my laptop a HP dv2000 froze while i was playing WoW. I turned it off by holding the powere button. Now when i turn it back on i hear the HD and fans start to spin and lights turn on but the lcd stays black as if it wasn't on. I also hear no beeps.

The screen or the laptop doesn't power up? I'm going to assume you mean the laptop screen itself doesn't display but you can still hear the laptop boot and the video out works with a monitor(i.e. the laptop internals are fine).
