So I just got a s-video to av connector to hook up to my video card with s-video out I plug it in and my tv has a humming sound and no clear picture just black and red and blue and purple lines flickering what's going on?

I have the resolution of the tv at 640x480 and the monitor resolution at 1280x1024.

and I'm using dual view where they each have their own resolutions and such.

Is it possible I need an RF Modulator?

It seems like when you plug a dvd player into a vcr how you get a scrambled picture so I tried an RF Modulator this is the second cable I've gotten and neither one of them work. Anyone had anything like this happen before?

I'm tempted to go out and buy one of the monster cables but I don't want to if it's not gonna work.

Funny thing I can get it to work but there are lines all over the tv and I can't actually plug it in if I do it won't work I have to touch the prong of the composite cable to the outside of the adapter weird huh.

Why is this?
