    Unhappy Password Unknown

Help needed, I purchased a Toshiba satellite pro 4600 from an auction and it has password request that comes up as soon as its powered on. I tried removing the bios/cmos battery with no sucess. I've also tried shorting the battery pins together on the motherboard to no avail. Can someone please point me in the right direction, without have to send it in to a Toshiba Service Center. Thanks before hand.

As far as I can see you need to know the password in order to change or delete it.

If clearing the CMOS didn't clear it and if there are no pswd jumpers or switches then I think you will have to either send it in or contact Toshiba.

There's got to be someone else out there that has had this problem, I may have to try posting a thread in a different forum,

There has to be someone out there that has had this problem, I'll wait a few days, but sending in to a service center is a last resort.

All it takes is a phone call or e-mail.

You are not going to find much help regarding passwords on public forums. Especially this one.

    There is always Google.
