Hi all,

I've recently bought a LCD tv/monitor and have connected up my laptop via the VGA 15-pin connection on the tv. I can get the desktop etc fine on the new screen but when I play a movie file (through various player like realplayer or windows media player) although it shows fine on the laptop screen I only get a black window on the lcd tv.

Can anyone please give me some idiot guide as to how to resolve this?
