    hi i am looking for a new graphics card.

    is this one a good card

    it costs $160, is that worth its price , found it at newegg.com

    That is AGP 8X

    You do not have PCI_E 16X so the first card will not work here.

    For your price you can get a good card. Just verify that it is AGP 8X.

    Spend some time and look around. It depends on what you want to do mostly. Avoid cheap cards as they will just die.

    hi that scan didnt work a blank screen just showed up.

    and i have a 250w supply , a 350w is reccomended

    does it matter what brand of power supply i get, i dont want to spend a lot of money on one no more than $50

    oh and is a 500wt power supply to powerfull or will that work ok

    i tried it in ie. didnt work
    only thing it showed is direct x.

    i didnt really get that stuff bout choosing a psp. i have a 250wat one now and powers everthing fine, the new graphic card recommends 350 so shout i get that or a 400wat one

    There is no harm in more. In general they are fairly interchangeable. That link just shows all the details in case you want to be absolutely certain.

    In general you will find people advise not to buy cheap PSU's. Less than $50 US is probably not a good idea. Here is a simpler article:
