First time on these forums, hope someone can help.

So i've had this monitor for about 2 years, and just yesterday it went black. I switched it on and off, the desktop was shown for a few seconds then it went black again while it was still on.

I know its not my Video Card or computer in general since i'm typing this looking at a generic 15" CRT Monitor.

If anyone have any idea what could be wrong with my LCD i'd appreciate your input.

This monitor has a vast history of mechanical failure. Just for example:

Oh man... understanding all that is hard for my brain. >.<

I mean i can't even get my monitor casing open to look at the guts.

If you showed that thread to a local shop they might have the means to fix it but I would guess that that would cost more than a new monitor.

I would also check new monitors very carefully. Lately I 've been reading a lot of problems with new Dell models as well.
