    Exclamation This one is good!

ok....i have two 10gb hardrives.....one has windows on it and the other has all my music and personal files etc...... i have just got a new 180gb hard disk and want to install that....the only problem is that they are all IDE connectors........so i can only have 2 connected at any time. what would be the best proccess to go through to install my new one and keep my old one with windows runing from it? put simply

    >>>>> 10gb(windows)
    >>>>> 10gb(personal files)

    what i want...........

    10gb (windows)
    180gb (personal files)

anyone got a good idea that is not time consuming...

my idea is to completly remove windows xp and start from scratch!

    thanks in advance!

how about removing a IDE cable from an optical drive CD/DVD put the 180Gb as a slave partition it, put the music and personal files on to a patition on the drive then remove the 10Gb slave replace it with the 180Gb set as slave.

That way you'll still have the 10Gb with windows as master and 180Gb with music and personal files set as slave then reconnect the optical drive
