Ok, so I'm new to this, any help would be gratefully appreciated.

My PC is around 2 years old but hasn't been used for around 18months. Just getting it running again and putting broadband and all that on it and it's been ok, except now, the CPU is constantly at 100%! It's so slow that I can't even get onto the internet to download a virus scan or anything! When I first log on I get an error message to do with this Kazaa programme that used to be on the PC when I first got it. I think it's opening straight away but I can't get rid of it. I've tried to delete the programme file but it's telling me it's in use. I tried to run msconfig but all I get is the windows error report, it won't even run it.

Can anybody please help me....it's driving me crazy because I can't do anything with the darn PC

can you boot into safe mode?
