"no signal"... and i restart the computer nothing happens... so i unplug it and plug it again... and it just keeps doing the same thing over...

Try booting into Safe Mode options:

After the power-on and BIOS POST or your Logo screen repeatedly tap the F8 key or hold the Ctrl key before Windows starts.

I would agree with the Graphics Card diagnosis.

Any chance that this computer has on-board VGA?

What is the make and model of the computer?

If no on-board VGA maybe switch your working card into the other computer or try a different card.

well the broken computer was custom made by a friend of mine whos really lazy to even bother helping me... so all i kno is that the video card is a nvidea and its strong enought to run WOW on lower then averge setttings... and after i tried turning the computer on about 3x the noise started getting worse? its coming from the fan in the video card(i think)?! haha so yah i think it is the video card? should i just go out and buy a video card? i dont kno much about video cards... would anyvideo card work? cause if it does i wanna get the best one so i can run my games on the higest settings... i think that computer is a amd 2400? and has 512 ram or something iunno... and 2 harddrives (20gb & 180gb) not good with specs.

but yes thanks for the help jephree... if u can help some more that would be great = )

You need to match the card with your slot. I would assume AGP 8X 4X which has been the standard say between 2000 and 2004. New cards are usually running PCI_E 16X slots and cards and older ones run AGP 2X.

    AGP differences here:

    PCI_E here:

When you remove the card there should be some identification on it as to its' specs.

yah so i asked my friend and there is no on board VGA, the video card is a

GF 6600 256mb DDR Dual Dvi TV... and he told me its prob cause i fried the video card?

now im trying to look for something similar so i wont have to change my power supply or something that can handle more but on the same power supply... cause i dont want to end up changing the whole computer, when i can just go out and buy a brand new one...

computer as far as i kno is an amd 2400 something like that and the video card as above... 512ram

power supply says this on it:

    U.S~ Can®
    Switching Power Supply
    Model: DR-A300ATX
    Input: 115V/230V~, 8/4A
    60/50 Hz
    Output: 300W
    +3.3V 20A Orange
    +5V 30A Red
    +12V 10A Yellow
    +5VSB 2A Purple
    -5V 0.5A White
    -12V 0.8A Blue
    PS-ON Green
    P.G Grey

The most important basic issue is the slot type.

I see GF 6600 256mb DDR Dual Dvi TV as available in both AGP as well as PCI_E

You need to verify what type of slot you have.
