About six months ago I came on this forum requesting help with a Medion laptop computer that would not switch on and I was advised to take the battery out an see if the computer would run on AC power only. Since then I have used my laptop without a battery and so whenever the connecter on the charger slipped out of the back of the computer, the system switched off straight away.

Earlier today, the connector slipped out whilst the laptop (on Windows XP) was shutting down. The next time that I tried to turn it on the green light on the charger flashed but the computer would not start up. The charger does work on my sister's laptop though, but her's does not work on mine. As soon as the charger is disconnected from my laptop the green light on it stays solid.

I was wondering then what could be wrong with my laptop. Any help would be very much appreciated as I am currently doing my AS Levels and need to use the net and all of the Microsoft software on a daily basis.
