I recently put together a computer with the AV8 motherboard. I am using the AMD 3700+ san diego, 2 corsair twinx 512mb DDR400 ram, 80gb hitachi hard drive (in SATA), Gainward geforce fx 5900 graphic card, a samsung dvd-rom (and another DVD-RD which i didnt even install yet) and i dunno the name of the power supply brand but i believe its 400W or 450W. The computer turns on fine. However, its all downhill from there. The computer wont send signal to my monitor and after a minute or so it starts to make beeping noises. Is it posible that some of the hardware isnt supported by the AV8 motherboard? Is there some kinda drivers or bios update that i need to download (and how would i go about doing this if my computer doesnt work)? Ive built a few computers b4 (but i am still a newbie) and nvr ran into problems like this. If anyone has suggestions or comments it would be greatly appreciated. Im desperate (so desperate im about to go drop $300 on a cheap p.o.s. dell) please help me. If any further details r needed just let me know and ill try my best to figure anything out. Thank you.

Beep Code:

That appears to be an AMI BIOS (although it could be an Award as well).
See if you can match the beep pattern.
I shall try to figure out the beep code tonight....however i heard from another forum that it could have something to do with my psu....which is a raidmax 450W, they said something about the amps on the +12V not being enough. it has 13A under the +12V on the psu lable....could this have anything to do with it? thx again
Oh yeah and on the box it says something about award bios, does this mean the beep code should come from that section? or could it be any of the bios beep code, or just AMI and award? please bear with me if my questions r a little vauge, or uneducated, im pretty much new to this stuff (lol all my knowlegde comes from magazines, forums and "How to Build a PC For Dummies)
If it says Award than that it is. Award BIOS depend a lot on particular boards. You might want to check your manual for specific codes. In general Award BIOS beeps indicate a RAM problem.
I would suggest removing one stick of RAM and also reseat the other. Make sure that the RAM is seated properly. Push down evenly until the clips lock themselves. If still no go try the other stick alone and try different slots.
As to the power supply it appears to me to be fairly standard.
However I do not see the AMD 3700+ listed under CPU support for that board:
