My CD drive has started to play up. All of a sudden the tray opens and closes and wont stop. Occassionally the PC then starts to search for autoplay and cant find it. While this is happening, the PC freezes.

Sorry for the poor explanation but as you may guess my technical knowledge is very low.

Any pointers?

I do beleive that sometimes a virus or other nasty stuff on your PC can do this.
