I've got a new MESH system running a GForce 7900 GT graphics card and a Viewsonic VX622 monitor. For some reason the display is now displaying text oddly. It looks like the colours are not 'registering' properly. To the left of each letter when looking at black text on white, there is a red line - it is incredibly offputting. I can email a screenshot if needed.
I'm not sure if it's the monitor or the graphics card or something software based - any ideas please?

Check this setting:
start > Control Panel > Display > Appearance
Check the box that says:
Use the following method to smooth edges of screen fonts:

No good I'm afraid; have you an email I can send you a screenshot of the effect - it's very odd!Originally Posted by jephree

Thanks - see attached. If you zoom on the black text it's really obvious.
You say this is a new system?
Did it ever display properly?
Is the issue only when highlighting text?

It is new, and for three months worked fine. The problem is on all text, all the time - just more visible in the example given. Mesh have been worse than useless, putting me onto Viewsonic, who don't think it's their problem - could it be the graphics card?
It may be coincidental but it seemed to happen after Window Wahser was installed. I've removed it to no avail and have tried System Restore as well. It's driving me mad!
Thanks for trying to help so far.....
Do you see the same effect iin Safe Mode?
Annoyingly, yes!
Seeing the problem persists in Safe Mode rules out most drivers.
Did MESH provide Factory Restore Disks?
Did MESH provide a warranty?
