    PC Shutting Down Withought Warning

    =MachSpeed PM9MS Socket 478
    P4 - 3.0GHz
    768 DDR Ram
    GeForce 5500
    P4 PSU (500watt)

This PC will shut down at any givin point for no reason that I can see. When trying to install Windows XP, it would shut down at the same point everytime. When I loaded Win98SE it installed just fine with the exception of 1 shut off during (Find Plug and Play Devices).

    Troubleshooting I have performed.
    (2) - Different Motherboards
    (2) - Different Processors
    (2) - Different PSU's
    (2) - Different Video Cards + The onboard
    (3) - Different Work Stations

I am really puzzled with this setup. I have built quite a few PC's and have been in PC Repair for some time now. The Only Reason I havent Scrapped this project is because I refuse to let this PC win!!! lol

At the blue screen in the begining when its loading up temp files. There is the question "Press f6 if you have to install any 3rd party drivers" bla bla bla. Specifically the screen was always stuck on "Loading Keyboard.dll" when it would restart.....

OK / mark this up as resolved:

Cause of error - Overheating (around the 55c mark my CPU experiences errors. )
It ran at 55c normal and 65-70c under load

Resolution - Got a nice Brass Tube Heatsink (Running at about 25c now with no problems)

So this is the same board and same problem?

    Does it beep?

If not remove all the RAM and try to power on: Does it beep then?

no beeps at anypoint and yes its the same board. But a different chip. I have had this system up and running before and then I took it out of one box and it set idle for a while. Now that I decided to break it out again it wont post... VERY weird... I hope the board isnt fried...

Is the case speaker hooked up?

No beeps with No RAM is not encouraging (assuming the speaker works).

Any indication of power? Is there a LED on the motherboard?
