    power pack?

    Hi
Im new here so I hope im posting in the right section.
My sons comp decided one day not to turn on and I have been told that it might be the power pack.
I phoned up some one locally that fixes comps and they said they would charge 60 quid to have a look what is wrong with it.
I was just wondering if there was any way that I could check if it is the power pack.
    Thanx in advance
