Hi, I recently purchased this external dvd rewriter. LG GSA-2166D

It comes with nero express and powerproducer amongst others.

Burning data, videos etc is fine. But say I have a collection of videos which I want to put together and add menus etc, I can only do it through vcd or svcd. When I try and burn my project onto a dvd a message comes up saying something about the 'common media not connecting with the pins' ? (this is on powerproducer)

I had a look on the internet and it seems that this software is not compatible with the drive. (well done LG, clever thinking, sell your drive with software that doesn't work)

So, is there a work around?

Or, can anyone else recommend a VERY cheap or freeware program that allows me to add in menus etc

as the main purpose was so I could put my home videos etc onto a dvd with menu's chapters etc, but I cannot fit them onto cd-r's and the quality is poor.
