Hi all, I hope I can get some help here. Whenever I install my lexmark x5150 all-in-one it works fine the problem is when I shut down then startup again. I get the safe mode/last know good/start normally etc.screen.(xp pro) the only way I can start up again is to go into safe mode then unistall printer then after restart all is fine. If I need to print I install again! Now i've worked out to uninstall printer each time before shut down and will start fine next time.
What a pain! Lexmark have no answer (or don't care) Any ideas would be great

What drivers are you using? Are they the drivers that came with the printer? If they are, see if there are different drivers online(newer). If they are the newest online drivers, see if you can get a hold of any older drivers. If possible, trim your startup list to the bare minimum and restart, just to see if any other program is causing the issue. If you can, install the printer on another xp machine. Good Luck.

Hi droogie, I've tried drivers that came with the printer & downloaded the so called latest from lexmark. I'm sure the drivers are the same version anyway. Don't seem to be able to find any older ones anywhere, and unfortunatly can't put in on another xp machine. It works fine on a 98se machine. I'll try to trim the statup and see what happens. Maybe l'll try running it with the 98se drivers and see what happens?
